What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Being a nurse, a dental hygienist, a schoolteacher, or even having a desk job can feel like an extreme sport because of the toll it can have on your body. This schoolteacher, who’s a 49 year old mom of two, dealt with decades of pain in her body. (Insert her story). She was starting to feel like it was just her lot in life, until she finally found the linchpin, this one thing that made all the difference in the world. I’m sharing her story and what that thing was, in this podcast episode because I want to provide HOPE that relief from decades-long pain really does exist and it’s actually quite simple. Tune in to this one, you’re not going to want to miss it.

Meet MaryEllen Kiser

I recently sat down and had a conversation with MaryEllen Kiser. MaryEllen is a 49 year old mom, and she’s a schoolteacher.

Teaching is an extreme sport!! It’s extremely physically demanding when you do it for many years on end.

  • Dental hygienist, hairdresser, nurse or doctor
  • You’re on your feet for very long periods of time - some of those occupations require your arms in a reaching position, where you’re round forward.
  • The impact this can have on your body can be huge - and it can really ruin your life.
  • Often, the main solution you’re given is to just get yourself a good pair of shoes. Like that’s going to solve all of your achiness and make it go away. But then it doesn’t!

I wanted to share with you some pieces of this conversation with MaryEllen.

She had back pain, hip pain… the type of pain that hovers and lingers. And I want you to hear this because I asked her how it all started, because it was a series of events, and I think this is going to sound familiar to you.

“I’ll just suffer through and then it will magically feel better” - BUT IT WAS WORSE

Oh, how often do we do that!! We just think “TIME” is going to heal, and it just doesn’t.

But she did eventually get really fed up and realized that she really needed to get a solution. But this is where her journey started to get really frustrating. Listen to this:

When all of the health care professionals are baffled, in that moment, your hope shrinks or it just disappears completely.

And I don’t know if you’ve ever been there, too… when you feel like you’re trying. You really are! You’re making the appointments, you’re spending the money, and trying to do all the things to help your body feel better - and none of it works.

That feeling is so defeating!!

And I asked MaryEllen… I said when you’ve gone to the top of the top, the surgeon that’s supposed to help you, and they can’t - how do you feel in that moment?

Ok, so this is where MaryEllen’s story takes a sharp left turn and her HOPE is rekindled, just a touch. But she’s been burned by so many other professionals, so she still has a little doubt still.

Frustrated and Defeated:

Ok, hold up right there. I think this is EXACTLY where so many women get frustrated and defeated and ultimately don’t get the help they need.

  • She just said, “I’m not a jock, I’m not an athlete, I didn’t understand what they were trying to tell me”
  • You have healthcare professionals, and people that are incredibly smart at what they do, but they can’t communicate it well to the normal person. They can’t take the technical thing and boil it down into simple enough terms that it makes complete sense for someone that doesn’t know this stuff.

So you might not know this, but:

  • I had a personal training business that was going great and then I moved
  • Distance coaching - forced to describe how to do exercises over the phone
  • I needed to make sure that my client on the other end would do this brand new movement that they’ve never done before, and be able to do it properly, safely and effectively and know exactly what they were supposed to feel
  • I didn’t realize it at the time, but this was honing my communication skills

And to this day, I always say I don’t wave a magic wand.

  • The stuff I guide you through in the Back & Hip Fix program has been documented over and over again of how a healthy back, healthy hips need to function
  • MaryEllen just finally got to experience it in a very tangible way with cues that teach you how to do it well, plus tools on how to be aware of the way her body was moving throughout the day

Results were happening

And the coolest thing, is that it was all working. Results were happening. Here’s a recording of MaryEllen just a few days into the program:

And then I asked her where she’s at now, over a year later after doing the Back and Hip Fix program…because I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t a fluke:

She trusted the process.

Trusted the process - and I appreciate her for that, which is so hard when you’ve tried and trusted and things had always failed.

But maybe that’s the biggest takeaway here.

  • That just because other solutions haven’t work for you, it doesn’t mean that nothing will.
  • Your body is not done yet. It can strengthen, it can adapt, it can rewire movement patterns up until the day that you die.
  • And so I don’t want you to give up hope and resign yourself to just live with the way your body is now, especially if it’s in pain.
  • And like MaryEllen, you might just need a different approach. You just might need someone to take the time to explain it to you in a different way so that it finally clicks.
  • You know, getting a sheet of exercises with stick figures on them and having to do it on your own at home, probably isn’t going to work. And that’s ok.

Listen, This is like the tip of the iceberg. I have hundreds of other stories just like MaryEllen’s. Women that have done the Back & Hip Fix program and decided to trust me, to trust the process, and they no longer are dealing with their pain everyday. It’s soooo cool.

And I want to help you, too. Whether you have really bad back or hip pain, or just lingering, low grade pain that never really goes away, let’s get rid of it, ok, so you can move on with your life.

I love sharing these stories of HOPE with you, and I so appreciate you spending the time to be with me today.
