What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Let’s talk about diabetes.

Unfortunately, diabetes is on a massive rise in our modern culture, and learning how to properly manage blood sugar levels is becoming top-of-mind for many women. This is especially important for women over 40 because hormonal changes can have an impact on your insulin sensitivity.

Melissa Slemp is joining us on the show today - she is a health coach who has lived with type 1 diabetes for 42 years - so she knows more than a thing or two about blood sugars, especially dealing with diabetes while going through perimenopause. She’s sharing her personal experience with managing blood sugars and the habit shifts we can focus on to improve our insulin sensitivity and maintain healthy blood sugar levels for many years to come.

What I love is that she emphasizes the importance of consistent habits, such as eating well, exercising, and getting enough sleep, in managing blood sugar levels.

Melissa also discusses the impact of hormones on insulin sensitivity and the need for hormone testing. She encourages women to advocate for themselves, seek support, and educate themselves about their bodies. Managing stress, building muscle mass, and following a balanced diet are key factors in maintaining healthy blood sugar levels!

Big Takeaways from this episode:

  • Consistent habits, such as eating well, exercising, and getting enough sleep, are crucial in managing blood sugar levels.
  • Hormonal changes during perimenopause can affect insulin sensitivity and may require adjustments in diabetes management.
  • Advocating for oneself, seeking support, and educating oneself about the body are important for managing diabetes and perimenopause.
  • Managing stress, building muscle mass, and following a balanced diet can help maintain healthy blood sugar levels.

A few of my favorite quotes from this episode:

  • "Muscle is an endocrine organ. The more muscle, the better blood sugar management."
  • "Chronic stress is a huge driver in pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes."
